Tutorial : How to install Google Play Store app on a Tablet Android
Let’s begin with the real important task:
Step N° 1
You will need to check if your tablet model is compatible with Google Play Store app. To do that, you can click on this link. It’s a PDF file. As the list contains more than 13.000 device models. In order to found yours quicker, you have 2 options:
- If you’re using a Windows PC or Notebook, with the PDF file open, press Ctrl + F.
- If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, open the browser menu and click on Find on Page.
Then, type your tablet model and press “Search”.
As soon as you find your device model on the list, you can proceed to the next step. If you don’t find your device on this list, you can check it again and see if it wasn’t a typo mistake. If you’re sure everything and your model isn’t on this list, then Play Store app isn’t compatible with it.
Step N° 2
Open the menu and go to “Settings”. Look for the “Security” tab and open it. Now, look for the “Unknown Sources” option. We’ll need this attribute activated, as this is the feature that controls which applications are allowed to be installed on your device and those who aren’t. As a standard in newer devices, this option comes deactivated, as your smartphone/tablet is programmed to, initially, only accept direct installations from Google Play Store.
Step N° 3
Now you need to check your Android version.
– If your tablet version is higher than the 4.4 (Kit Kat), but higher than 4.1 (Jelly Bean), the 5.0 (Lollipop), click on this link to download Google Play Store version 8.2.36;
– If your Android version is older than the ones above, you can find on this link a list with all Google Play Store versions released since October, 2014.
Step N° 4
After the download is finished, locate the Play Store APK file on your Downloads folder.
When you find it, click on it to execute the file and begin the app installation.
Step N° 5
As every APK installation, the main screen of the installation process will be displayed, showing the permissions Google Play Store will need to properly be executed. Read it mindfully, as some of the permissions include in-app transactions and, thereafter, costs to the account that will be logged later on. If you agree with everything, click on “Install” and the installation process will finally begin. It doesn’t take too long. Depending on your tablet performance, this action can’t take less than 30 seconds!
After the installation process, you can open the application and log in with and existent account or create a new one. Then, you can enjoy this suite full of apps to every taste. 😉
